This month Event Streaming .TV were privileged to film interview with Hollywood legend Gary Oldman in conversation with Michael Dobbs, an active member of the House of Lords and author of House of Cards, discussing Churchill’s legacy and playing the role of the famous war time leader.

Darkest Hour is an extraordinary film starring Gary Oldman, who won an Oscar for his performance, depicting the first days of Churchill as Prime Minister in May of 1940. To fully understand the prime minister and capture his spirit, Oldman did extensive research by reading biographies, studying film footage, visiting Churchill’s home at Blenheim Palace, and speaking to Churchill’s family members.

The International Churchill Society (ICS), founded in 1968 shortly after Churchill’s death, is the world’s preeminent member organisation dedicated to preserving the historic legacy of Sir Winston Churchill. WaveFX were commissioned to produce the video which will be shown at the 38^th International Churchill Conference, titled ‘Churchill and Freedom’ in October 2021. Each year the Symposium attracts over 1,000 delegates, representing the energy and dynamism of the global MND research community. It is the largest medical and scientific conference specific to MND and is the premier event in the research calendar.

Due to Covid this year’s event was held online, filmed and streamed from a purpose built studio in the associations Northampton headquarters.

The 3-day virtual symposium attracted a global audience in excess of 16,000 from over 57 countries. Interaction and engagement were paramount with the delegates being able to ask questions, review posters, network and vote.

Webcast production company Event Streaming .TV had worked with the association for over 15 years traveling the globe streaming past events from the USA, Australia and Europe.

This Year Event Streaming .TV provided all the equipment and crew to manage every aspects of the virtual symposium production from live filming, managing virtual presenters via zoom, vision mixing and encoding the stream to an embedded player.

The International Churchill Society (ICS) hosted a two-day hybrid conference which included live debate from Sir John Mayor, Lord Hague and Jonathan Dimbleby plus pre-recorded contributions from Randolph Churchill, George W Bush and Lord Dobbs.

This high-profile event was filmed and streamed live from Churchill college. A night of stand-up comedy has topped over £100K online viewers raising much needed funds supporting local young people with disabilities to enjoy the arts.

This Harry Hill Charity Webcast hosted by Local comic Irving McCormick and supported by the Cambridge Junction was streamed across multiple social media platforms.

With comedy from Richard Herring, Harry Hill, Lost Voice Guy, Simon Panrucker, Jonathan Pie, Lucy Porter, Aaron Simmonds and The King’s Singers.

Lockdown has seen a demand from companies wanting help connecting staff and customers and Event Streaming .TV has the ability to stream six unique virtual events simultaneously using professional vision mixers with high production values.

Virtual Whisky festival streamed live to Facebook with surprising results.

The annual Virtual Whisky Festival for one of the world’s largest producers of spirits and beer normally takes place over 4 days from distilleries situated across the western isles of Scotland. This year the event took place virtually gaining a new online audience; whisky tasting, Q&A’s with master blenders, pre-recorded video and product announcements were all vision mixed and broadcast from the EventStreaming.TV Cambridge studio.

Content and planning of the virtual festival was managed by the clever folk at REDUX a London based production company ensuring the 3 day webcast was fun, informative and ultimately engaging. Feedback from the client was stellar with impressive viewer numbers, engagement and global reach.

Technically the 6 hour virtual event was managed by just 3 crew utilising zoom, six laptops and a LiveStream HD550 vision mixer. Zoom was used to bring all the presenters and contributors into the mix; this feed was then manipulated within the vision mixer to create a fully branded customisable template. (You wouldn’t know it was Zoom).

To keep the quality high the vision mixer also took graphics and pre-recorded videos in to the mix locally before encoding in HD to multiple Facebook pages.
